Overview of 2011 New Yamaha R15 Version 2.0
Yamaha R15 was the first model for the Indian market designed in the true supersport image and featuring a high-level balance of enjoyable running performance on winding roads. Now, Yamaha India has launched 2011 model of Yamaha R15, which is priced at Rs. 1.07 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi). The company is promoting it as 'R15 Version 2.0', which resembles to R1, to some extent. Previously, it was expected to be launched in April, then in July, finally New Yamaha R15 version 2.0 is here, it is one of the most awaited bikes of 2011. But the sad part is that New R15 Version 2.0's specifications are exactly the same in comparison to R15 Version 1.0 except the kerb weight which is now 136 kgs. The engine displacement, maximum power and maximum torque figures are same. Yamaha fans would be feeling very disappointed with this because they were waiting for R15 Version 2.0 from 10-12 months and it was expected that power will be increased from 16.8 bhp to 20-22 bhp and torque from 15 nm to 18-19 nm but Yamaha India has kept all the technical specifications intact.
According to Yamaha India while maintaining the proven ease of handling of the R15 version 1.0, the R15 version 2.0 boasts of spruced up looks and better performance in circuit riding. The design elements are borrowed from the supersport model YZF-R1 that is adapted from YZR-M1 MotoGP race machine. The R15 version 2.0 has undergone changes as compared to the present YZF-R15 in the specs of the Engine Control unit (ECU), drivetrain unit, a long aluminum swing arm, wider front and rear tires (radial tire for the rear), split seat, LED taillights and new-design middle cowl & tail cowl. On sales target, Mr Roy Kurian, National Business Head, said: “We aim to sell 5.3 lakh bikes by this fiscal. For YZF-R15, our target is 3,000 bikes per month.”

For example, Yamaha YZF-R1 shows a strong body line that springs up in a single line from the rear axle to the pivot and then to the head pipe. This is a visual expression of the straight shape of the Deltabox frame. These elements are a visual expression of “frame rigidity.” Viewed from the side, the shape of New Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 created by the side panel and the upper surface of the tank creates an impression of the center of gravity shifting to the front tyre. A characteristic of the R series is that, when you view the machine, you get a sense of its concept and performance. This philosophy has been fully transmitted to 2011 New Yamaha R15 Version 2.0. REVIEW

Overview Of New Bajaj Pulsar 220 F
Bajaj India has come up with another facelift, this time it is their flagship bike - Pulsar 220. The new Bajaj Pulsar 220 F is reported to the fastest Indian bike ever built. Bajaj team has successfully reached the top speed of 144 kmph and thus made the bike as the fastest bike in the country . New Pulsar 220cc's gear ratio is optimized to achieve the top speed. Also Pulsar 220 F has been priced very competitively to its main rivals - Yamaha R15 & Karizma ZMR.
Bajaj has also launched the Street version of Pulsar 220 which has been priced around Rs. 3000/- than the Faired verison.
Though Pulsar is not technically advanced like R15 & ZMR but if you compare the price then Pulsar 220 F is much better option. Pulsar 220 F is also more powerful with 21 Bhp on tap in Comparison to Karizma ZMR's 17.6 Bhp and Yamaha R15's 17 Bhp. So, if you wanna pay less for more power then simply go for New Pulsar 220 F.
Update: Bajaj Pulsar Speed Lines (New Shades)
Bajaj India has introduced new speed line shades for Pulsar range comprising of Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220. The new shades are blue with combination of black, red with combination of black and all-black shade. The new shades have given a fresh lease to life to the Pulsar models and have further enhanced the overall looks of the bikes.

Update: Orange and Silver Shade discontinued. Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 220 S and Pulsar 220 F are now available in only Blue, Red and Black.

Engine Of New Bajaj Pulsar 220 F
New Bajaj Pulsar 220 F gets all new 220cc oil cooled carburetored engine with 21 Bhp of power at 8500rpm and 19 NM of torque. Other changes to the engine insides include new combustion chamber, all new port geometry for optimized thermodynamics, new valve coat material to eliminate cardon formation, new design short skirt lower friction piston, an all new camshaft and 33% larger oil cooler.
Pulsar 220 F gets the performance boost with 32 venturi carburettor, the bigest ever used in India. In addition, the intake port in the cylinder head has been modified, along with higher lift and duration cam. A larger resonator and catalytic convertor is also used to increase performance. It also uses temperature based ignition mapping system through which the ignition timing is optimized to acheive good startability, quick warm up and outstanding torque. Pulsar 220 F features the standard five speed gearbox with one down and four up pattern.
Design Of New Bajaj Pulsar 220 F
New Bajaj Pulsar 220 F looks better and smart than the outgoing model. It features all the ‘all-black’ theme like the recently launched new pulsar 150 & 180. Starting from the forks, swingarm, wheels and engine are all in a rich shade of black and that makes the bike look much leaner and meaner. It is the most stylish bike available in India after the Yamaha R15 & Karizma ZMR. Though it resembles its siblings in most sense the voluminous front fairing and the fairing mounted mirrors distinct the new Pulsar 220 F from others.
